Dingbats-Font is a self-made artist who has proven masterful at transforming statement vintage pieces into wearable works of art. As an impressionable youngster growing up, he had a deeply curious mind that saw him take what he learned from drawing and apply it to such mediums as paint and wood burning.
With an established brand standing firmly behind him, DB-F’s signature style involves paisley prints that have been broken down and used in innovative ways. In partnering with urbancoolab, the artist wanted to take the prized heritage print and flip it completely on its head. Based on a theme of comic art, the artist took aim at presenting paisley as a playful caricature as opposed to a traditional design element.
